Once you UNDERSTAND how to use positive methods, based on science to make learning enjoyable; it's easy to come up with EFFECTIVE ways to teach your dog polite social skills. Your dog will be eager to follow your BENEVOLENT lead.

S.M.A.R.T  training method by one of my favourite trainers,  Kathy Sdao

 
Training your dog is most effective when you have a consistent methodology.  
I find it extremely helpful to use Kathy Sdao's method to jump start behaviours.

It encourages the dog to interact with me, and work to figure out what I am trying to communicate.  It opens a conversation between us.   

Developing a relationship based on a positive, interactive system of communication, is always my training goal.
